Morningwood Software is a video game developer subsidiary of Morningwood Arts. The studio is led by Thomas Loon, who is also Studio Design Director for all its projects.
The studio's primary goal is to develop free-to-play mobile games and has released two games so far: Call of Duty: Nexus Arena and Eclipse Universe: Commander, the latter was two years after Morningwood Arts' acquisition of the video game rights for Jesse Loon's Eclipse Universe, and is described as being similar to Clash of Clans and Star Wars: Commander.
In January 2020, Morningwood Arts CEO Anakin Nakamura confirmed that the studio was working on an action turn-based strategy mobile game based on the American anime web-series RWBY. It is under development jointly by Morningwood Software and Rooster Teeth Games, and will be published by Morningwood Arts.
