Eclipse Universe: Second Galactic War is a cancelled action video game that was to be developed and published by Morningwood Industries; Nakamura Interactive assisted in development. During the game's development, it was known as "Eclipse Universe Online," and it was intended to be an MMO game with a heavy focus on large-scale multiplayer and cooperative. However, sometime after its initial pre-production stage, the studio announced that it shifted the game away from being an MMO to being an action game instead. Its final title was revealed as Eclipse Universe: Second Galactic War. Nakamura Interactive had been brought in to assist development. During Morningwood Arts' Fall Direct 2022, it was announced that Morningwood Industries were shelfing the game, allowing Nakamura Interactive to focus entirely on Eclipse Universe: Rose Squad - Extinction.
The game was going to focus on the Second Galactic War in Eclipse Universe canon. Players were going to experience five different Storylines: Eclipse Army, Eclipse Navy, Eclipse Starfighter Corps, TITAN Corps and Task Force: JOKER. These five Storylines each followed a respective branch of the Eclipse Military during the war and provided a gameplay experience different from the other Storylines: the Army Storyline featured large-scale ground battles, the Navy Storyline featured starships and orbital combat, the Starfighter Corps Storyline featured starfighters and space combat, the TITAN Storyline featured close quarter combat and the JOKER Storyline featured a mix of all four Storylines.
